Fall Event Volunteers – Day-of Help

Thank you for helping with our Fall Event! 🐾

Please choose the volunteer opportunity and shift that works best for you below.

Most shifts are designed so you can help and still have time to enjoy the event with your family. Please arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled shift so you have time to check in and receive any instructions for your station.

If a position has multiple openings, feel free to sign up with a friend!

Volunteers will receive instructions and supplies for their assigned area. No special experience is needed.

Passport Books / Decorating Station
Help students pick up and decorate their Passport Books using markers, colored pencils, crayons, and stickers. Keep supplies organized, help students as needed, stamp completed passports with the Normal Type Stamp, and keep the station moving smoothly.

Fire Gym: Ring Toss
Help students take turns tossing 3 rings toward the fire-themed targets. Students earn the Fire Gym stamp when they get at least 1 ring onto a target. Help explain the activity, adjust the throwing distance as needed for different ages/ability levels, retrieve and reset rings, stamp passports, and keep the line moving.

Water Gym: Squirtle Splash Challenge
Help students participate in the Squirtle Splash Challenge by giving each student a water blaster and access to a bucket/tub of refill water. Students will either use water squirters to knock a cup off a table or Blast a cup along a string between two poles. Adjust the distance as needed for different ages or ability levels, refill water, reset cups, keep the area safe and organized, and stamp passports with the Water Gym stamp.

Rock Gym: Rock Painting
Help students choose a rock and decorate it using paint pens/paint markers. Keep supplies organized, help students as needed, manage seating and table flow, clean up spills or messes, and stamp completed passports with the Rock Gym stamp.

Fighting Gym: Can Throwing
Help students take turns using 3 soft balls to knock down as many cans as they can. Adjust the throwing distance as needed for different ages or ability levels, reset the cans after each turn, retrieve the balls, keep the line moving, and stamp completed passports with the Fighting Gym stamp.

Flying Gym: Frisbee Throwing
Help students take turns throwing 3 frisbees at the targets. Explain the challenge, adjust the throwing distance as needed for different ages or ability levels, retrieve and reset frisbees, keep the throwing area clear and safe, and stamp completed passports with the Flying Gym stamp.

Psychic Gym: Prediction Booth
Help students test their β€œpsychic” skills by choosing a prediction cup and guessing which cup is hiding the mystery item. Set up and shuffle the cups, adjust the difficulty by changing the number of cups or speed, help manage turns, keep the line moving, and stamp completed passports with the Psychic Gym stamp.

Electric Gym: PokΓ©ball Power Shot
Help students take turns shooting basketballs/balls into buckets to claim prize as part of the PokΓ©ball Power Shot challenge. Explain the activity, adjust the shooting distance as needed for different ages or ability levels, retrieve and reset basketballs, keep the line moving, and stamp completed passports with the Electric Gym stamp.

Steel Gym: Mini PokΓ©ball Launcher Lab
Distribute premade kids to students, follow the printed instructions, help assemble their launcher, and test it using ping-pong balls. Assist students with rubber bands and assembly as needed, keep materials organized, help manage the testing area, and stamp completed passports with the Steel Gym stamp.

Grass Gym: Yard Games
Help students choose and play one of the available yard games, such as Jenga, Connect 4, or Cornhole. Explain basic rules as needed, help students take turns, reset games between groups, keep equipment together and organized, and stamp completed passports with the Grass Gym stamp.

Dragon Gym: Obstacle Course
Help students move safely through the Dragon Gym obstacle course using tunnels, balance beams, hula hoops, cones, hurdles, and pool noodles. Manage the starting line, explain the course, help younger students as needed, watch for safety concerns, reset equipment between participants, keep the course moving, and stamp completed passports with the Dragon Gym stamp.

Team Rocket Dance Break
Help keep the Team Rocket Dance Break fun, safe, and organized. Encourage students to participate, help manage the dance area and crowd flow, keep props organized, hand out and collect dance items as needed, and stamp passports for participating students.

Merchandise Station
Help welcome students and families to the Merchandise Station, keep merchandise organized, assist with purchases as needed, and stamp passports for every student who visits the station β€” no purchase required.
