In April, many families observe traditions connected to faith, renewal, and belonging. These may include Arab American Heritage Month, which recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of Arab American communities; Passover, a Jewish religious tradition commemorating liberation and resilience; Easter, a Christian religious tradition celebrating renewal and hope; and Earth Day, a global observance focused on care for the planet and shared responsibility. At STEM Lab, care for land and environment is an ongoing practice, aligning with Indigenous teachings that emphasize reciprocal relationships with land and water—principles long upheld by the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Ute Nations and peoples whose homelands the school occupies.
If you have an upcoming tradition or observance that is meaningful to your family—or if we missed one—we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at pto.stemlab@gmail.com or simply reply to this newsletter.
