 PTO Board Position | Voting Member | 2-Year Term

🎯 Role at a Glance
• The Treasurer (Finance Chair) is a voting member of the PTO Board who oversees the financial health, compliance, and transparency of the organization.
• This role works closely with the PTO Board, school Administration, the School Office Manager, and the Assistant Treasurer to ensure funds are managed responsibly and in accordance with state and federal requirements.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Serve as an active, voting member of the PTO Board
• Manage all purchase requests and reimbursement requests from staff, PTO Board members, and coordinators
• Oversee all PTO financial operations and accounts
• Track income and expenses and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare and present financial reports at Board and general meetings
• Lead the creation and monitoring of the annual PTO budget
• Oversee and collaborate with the Assistant Treasurer
• Collaborate with the School Office Manager on financial processes, as needed
• Ensure all state and federal filings, including annual tax filings, are completed on time
• Maintain the PTO’s good standing at both the state and federal level
• Support event and fundraising chairs with budgeting and financial reconciliation

⏰ Time Commitment
• Light, ongoing weekly tasks (varies by season)
• One (1) monthly PTO Board meeting
• One (1) monthly General PTO meeting
• Increased involvement during budget planning, major fundraisers, and tax filing periods
