From September 15 to October 15, we recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to learn about and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. The month begins on September 15 to mark the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, with Mexico and Chile following shortly after. It is an opportunity to explore the diverse traditions, accomplishments, and perspectives that have shaped our nation and continue to influence our STEM Lab community today.

Inflate-A-Palooza Fundraiser Updates

You're doing AMAZING, STEM Fam! THANK YOU!! We’ve raised $31,500 so far, but we’re not at our second goal of $33,750 just yet. We have until midnight TONIGHT to get there! Once we hit it, several staff members will show up Friday with their hair and beards styled in the craziest ways you can imagine (don’t worry, we’ll share plenty of pictures!). As of today, we’re just $2,250 away. Let’s close the gap, keep sharing those campaign pages and let’s make it happen!

Our final goal is $45,000 by 11:59 PM on Friday (9/19). Once we hit this target, the entire admin team will compete in an obstacle course while wearing an inflatable Sumo costume in front of the entire school!

Swag Bag Prep Squad! Sunday Sept. 21st. Help us prepare the Fun Run Swag Bags, which include t-shirts and prizes for students. Due to the complexity of the task, this activity is best suited for adults. It involves lifting boxes and lots of movement in an assembly line style. We always have a great time working together and getting to know one another!
