A brand-new school year adventure is beginning, and we’re excited to learn, connect, and level up together. Get ready for a year filled with teamwork, exciting challenges, and plenty of PTO fun. There will be lots of opportunities for every family to join the quest and help our school community thrive. Let’s make it legendary!

Before beginning this year’s adventure, please update your family information & specifically your child(ren)’s new teacher and current T-shirt size. 

(Middle School families: Please enter your child’s grade level in both fields.)


By updating your information, you’ll officially be:

  • Subscribed to receive PTO emails, newsletters, event updates, reminders, and more
  • Ready to receive details about our upcoming Fall Fundraiser, kicking off August 28th.
  • Prepared to join us for Quest for the Golden Lynx on Friday, September 25th - an action-packed fall celebration filled with exciting activities, challenges, food, fun, and adventures for the whole family!

Traditions and Tributes
August Reflections

August is often a time of preparation, learning, and new beginnings as many students and families return to school routines. Traditions and observances that may be acknowledged include International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples (August 9), which recognizes Indigenous peoples, cultures, and contributions around the world. As the school year begins, August can also be a time to reflect on belonging, curiosity, and the shared responsibility we have to support one another as learners and community members.

Community Invitation: These monthly acknowledgements are intended to foster awareness and appreciation of the many traditions, observances, and histories represented within our community. They are not intended to be comprehensive. Families who would like to share additional cultural and community traditions are warmly invited to contact the PTO for future newsletters and community learning opportunities. pto.stemlab@gmail.com

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, STEM Lab PTO may qualify for your company's matching gift program. That means your donation, or even the volunteer hours you contribute, could be matched by your employer at no additional cost to you, helping us provide even more opportunities for our students, staff, and school community.


If your workplace offers donation matching, employee giving, or volunteer grant programs, we'd love to be included! Check with your HR department or employee benefits portal to see if your company participates.

Upcoming Dine-Outs
August 14th, 3pm

Kona Ice will be parked on Wyco Drive (starting at 2:50pm) come grab some yummy shaved ice, meet some new families, and let the kids play while they enjoy their goodies. Kona Ice will give back 20% of their earnings.


Don't forget your reusable cups if you have them!

August 25th, 4pm-8pm

Why cook dinner when you can treat your family while supporting the school? Chick Fil A on E. 120th (across from the school) will give back 20% to the school. Just mention you are with STEM Lab and mention your teacher (grade level for middle school) and whichever class has the most students show up will win a classroom party!

As you're meeting teachers and visiting classrooms, be sure to stop by the PTO table in the gym! We'll have:

Native Land Acknowledgement

As part of our ongoing practice at STEM Lab, we honor and acknowledge that the land we are located on today is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Ute Nations and peoples. Many different Native tribes have used this land for trade, hunting, gathering, and healing. We extend our respect to Elders past, present, and future, and to all those who have stewarded the land and water since time immemorial. We invite others to join us in this acknowledgment to renew and reaffirm First Nations’ history in Colorado and to pay tribute to these traditional homelands and their people.
