SUBJECT: Mid Month Memo-November

Looking For Coordinators

If you’re looking for a way to get involved, give back, and make a difference in our school community, we’d love for you to join our team! Our PTO is structured a bit differently than most: instead of a traditional hierarchy, we operate with co-chairs and coordinators. This setup lets us accomplish more, as each chair leads a team with a specific area of focus.

Which positions need to be filled NOW?

Our top priority right now is finding a Spring Event Coordinator! We have the budget and the enthusiasm—now we just need someone with the vision to make it happen. We’ll support you in building a team, too! If this position isn’t filled, we may have to cancel the event, so we’re reaching out. Can you help? Please reply to this email if you’re interested.

Beyond that, any position listed here with “OPEN” underneath is available and ready for you to jump in. Even if a position you’re interested in isn’t marked as open or is already filled, please ask about it! We’d love to find a spot for everyone interested in joining.

Giving Thanks to Staff!

By now, each of your children should have received an envelope containing instructions for completing a personalized note for our upcoming Staff Appreciation Wall Refresh. Please check their backpacks and folders, or ask them directly if they received an envelope in class. Encourage or assist them in filling out a note for one of our wonderful staff members, or feel free to write one yourself using the provided materials.

This project is time-sensitive, so please return the completed notes to teachers (Middle School students can give them to any MS teacher) by Wednesday, November 20th. For more details, including how to submit additional notes, click

PTO Community Corner
Staff Bathroom Basket Supplies Needed

In September, the Staff Appreciation team was able to use leftover funds from the previous school year to fully stock baskets of goodies in each of our building’s four staff bathrooms. The baskets were a big hit and their contents have been quickly diminished- so obviously we’d love to top them back off! If you’d like to help in this endeavor, we’ve crafted this [AMAZON WISHLIST] to make things hassle free! This is a quick and easy way to let our staff know you’re cheering them on and making sure they’re covered for whatever the STEM Lab holiday season may throw their way! (Don’t worry though if donating your time and talents is more your thing, we’ve got something lined up especially for you in December!)

Student Appreciation Update
Take What You Need

We periodically fill these boards with encouraging handwritten notes, stickers, cards, jokes, and more—small gestures to show students that we care and that they are seen. We also encourage students to give one to someone they think could use it.

Gobble Grams

Twice a year, we send themed "grams" to all 750 students in the building as another way to show our appreciation for their hard work.

**Thanks to the amazing volunteers who helped put these together!**
