A Message From the Board

Happy New Year! As we bid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024 with open arms, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this year bring joy, prosperity, and countless opportunities for growth and success.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the prospects the rest of the school year holds. The PTO has been hard at work planning engaging events, educational initiatives, and community-building activities that promise to make the upcoming months memorable for everyone.

Our commitment to fostering a strong connection between parents, teachers, and students remains steadfast. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that enhances the overall learning experience for our children.

Thank you for being an essential part of the STEM Lab community. Here's to a fantastic New Year! Wishing you and your families a joyful and prosperous 2024!

A. "I was a full-time secondary English/Reading teacher because I love reading and wanted to help those who struggled understand the power of reading to change their lives. Q. What is the most rewarding aspect of working at STEM Lab?

A. "The community of STEM Lab is very supportive and everyone is part of the team and has a role to play in our success."

A. "Getting to know students as the unique person the are is key to helping them when they struggle."

Q. In your opinion, what are some of the biggest challenges facing the education system today?

A. "Lack of respect for the teaching profession, lack of channeled funding (teacher salaries, equitable access to technology and other resources for all students), book bans and imposed limits on curriculum topics."

Q. How do you foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment?

A. "I try to learn the names of each student in the classes I work in and to be a positive role model of the STEM values."

Q. What is your favorite thing the PTO does for the school and what can we do to better serve the STEM Lab community?
